1. Summer BioMedical Camp of Drug Delivery System (DDS)
Theme: Oral Insulin and Drug Delivery Skills under Surgical Animal Models
Objectives: To teach surgical animal models using an oral insulin delivery program. Students will learn how to handle animal for surgery preparations and how to carry out surgical procedures. The pharmacodynamic data will be acquired, analyzed and presented to the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) by all participants as co-authors.
Place/Facility: New York Medical School (Valhalla, NY), A Prestigious Private Medical School, founded in 1860.
Oral Delivery of Insulin: One of the hottest research topics in biomedical sciences. Searching an optimal penetration promoter and/or oral insulin with gold nanoparticles…. During the study, the following animal administrations will be performed; Intravenous injection, Rectal delivery, Oral delivery, Stomach and Intestinal direct dosing.
Sponsors: Align Biosciences, LLC, Bergen Science School
Number of Students: 20
Staff in Charge: Jongbin Lee, Ph.D., Nai Wang, Ph.D.
